How's things going so far? So far, so good??? I would like 2 wish each & every1 of you all, a very happy & safe LABOR DAY Holiday!

What does LABOR DAY mean 2U? BBQue, cooking out, grilling, family & friends, visiting with others @ their home, having people over 2 yours', chilling, relaxing, doing nothing, & the list goes on & on...Parents & children getting ready 4 back 2 school...knowing that the next day, bright & eary, it's time 2 start a new journay, new beginnings...So 4 2day, we get 2 celebrate a day that's free from "work" & celebrate self.

....but I'm thinking...it's "WORK!!!" Cooking all that food!!! hahahaha. It's "work" shopping 4 the food. It's work, fighting the crowds of people shopping & trying 2 get things on sale. Whether it's 4 food or clothes, people R hustling & bustling, on the move. It's work, once U get home, bringing N the packages...it's work, when every1 is N the kitchen, making their favorite dish...it can B chaotic, & even's if it's work, it's FUN!!!

If U're anything like my family...SMH...it can B trying times...LOL!!! So much chaos going on. Some1 wants 2 cook/fix this dish, another wants it done their way, this1 don't want 2 do anything, & this1, feels like they R doing it all...then as every1 is doing, contibuting their part, we get 2 talking about old times, things that have happened N the past, good & bad times...some1 start 2 cry, some laugh, everybody getting mushy @ some point....U better not mess up that "Peach Cobbler"!!! N the end, it all come 2gether...as we prepare 2 bless the food, the matriarch of the family, says the blessing, every1 giving thanks 4 what the LORD has provided. As a family we all repeat this saying: "We make no excuse 4 this that we have, 4 this that we have, the LORD has provided & we will B thankful & grateful", Amen!!! It's not just on THANKSGIVING, that we do this, but all year round!!!

During the eating & fellowshipping with family & friends, anything can happen, & it's always expected! Food, conversation, music, laughter is all "good 4 the soul." Eveybody is happy, full & relaxed...now, who wants 2 clean up??? Looking 2 my right & left, all I C is: People so full & relaxed that now, they R falling asleep! OH NO!!! SOMEBODY gonna help me put this food up & do all the "other things" that I'm NOT gonna do!!! (clean grill & wash pots & pans, garbage...now the bossy part of me comes out)...I'm rounding up all the males, that's still around! hahaha...(The ladies can sit back & give orders). :-)
