Quoting Cora52:
Acouple of hours ago 2day, I got the sad news that a good friend & classmate passed away. We went 2 the same high school so many years ago. She was 1 year ahead of me, but we remained friends & saw each other, from time 2 time. She had a bubbly personality, a beautiful smile, & a great sense of humor. I really did like her.
Seems like it was only yesterday, that I last saw her... N reality, 2B honest, I hadn't seen her N awhile. She had breast cancer, but that was not the cause of death. She had a heart attack...Despite the cancer, she had & kept a positive attitude & outlook on life. 2 look @ her, U didn't & couldn't C the results of the chemo, that took it's toll on her. I'm quite sure, she had her moments, her ups & her downs, but she always kept that smile on her face. She was not a complainer. She accepted what she had, made peace with herself & situation & continued to make the best of it. She made me think of that saying: "Your attitude determines your altitude"!!! She made great strides N her life & succeeded N obtaining most of her goals.
1 month ago, the doctors said: "There was nothing else they could do." So the family decided 2 take her off, of her respirator. 2 GOD B the Glory & 2 GOD B the praise! She survived & lasted, a whole month without the respirator! It ain't over until GOD says it's over!!! Man can only do but so much, BUT GOD can do the impossible! When GOD is 4U, who can B against U??
Her family was prepared, but more importantly, she was prepared. She was @ peace with GOD, & herself. She had her family there, surrounding her with their love, strength & support. It's important 2 have the love & support of those close 2U, when life is closing down upon U. We all must, we all have 2 pass through death door 1 day. There's no escape. Prayerfully, it's N the presence & surroundings of those we love & who loves us...I will miss my friend but I know she is N a better place, resting N the Arms of our Provider: GOD ALMIGHTY! Gone 2 soon, but never 4gotton...R.I.P. KAREN!
