I am in love with a woman from the Philippines. She says all the right things and does the right things that makes me feal like a real man. But my ex says she is not good because she works in a club. I want to trust what she says but how can I be sure? If I marry her will I be happy? She tells me everything so there should be no surprises. What do I do and who do I trust?

I have been married to a Filipino man for almost 30 years and guess what I am the "white" woman. Met him while at a club here in the USA and feel in love. Spent 8 years at Clark AB and believe me I saw it all there. I tend to say IMPO they are wonderful, kind caring people no matter where they work. They are so devoted, loving and willing to clean house, help with the kids etc. I would not trade my Filipino husband in for a white man any day. I love him for whom he is, not the color of his skin. I have two beautiful daughters that have black hair and brown eyes. Me, blonde hair blue eyes. Follow your heart not what others are telling you. They just don't want a woman from another country in their family. Salamat

Mahiro, I want to thank you for your words of encouragement. I do believe as I have from the start that she was tricked in to this job. She also spent 1 1/2years as a singer in Japan. She thought that she was getting into that here as well Having to do a singing recording to qualify. It seemed legit at the time for her. Then She gets over here feeling trapped into a job that she didn't sign up for. She is a wonderful caring, loving woman and I really want to trust her. She has all ways been upfront and honest with me about everything. I pray that she is the right one for me, but I still am cautious.

Hi! I'm also from the Philippines but I'm now here in Japan with my family. There are a lot of Filipina entertainers here in Japan and it's unfair to judge all club entertainers generally. Of course, the wrong notion that almost everybody has, is quite hurting to a few. I do volunteer jobs for the Filipino Migrants Center here and with the problems that we encounter everyday, a lot of club entertainers are involved. It's pathetic to see them being blamed if there are circumstances beyond control that happens. In most cases, they are only victims. If you really love that girl, then observe her keenly if she really behaves undesirably. It doesn't mean that because she works in a club she will always be a ..... you know. Even here in Japan, there are plenty of club entertainers that are educated, and sometimes are better than ordinary girls. The final decision is still yours and I hope you'll make it right. Judge accordingly......Good luck!
