found out in march from my specialist that surgery may be where I am heading I start some type of shots that will go into my spine to try to help with the pain and that starts may 11,2007 and if that doesn't work he said it will have to be surgery that it isn;t getting better it's getting worse, and that one surgey may not be enough because it;s in 2 different places in my spine, hope everyone else is doing better than me, terrified here. it is now april 17,2007 , the therphist is saying she thinks I might have a pinched nerve in the process of all the problems, dr has me on strong pain meds and to rest and not do anything when it hurts due to it will only make it worse and I am afraid when I do see him on the 11th of may he will say surgery due to the new problem that has come up,it is very severe problem that doesn't seem to be any end in sight,I can barely sit or stand for a certain amount of time, but if any of my friends wants to chat you can locate me on the web, hope everyone is doing so much better than I am

As we rise from our cots on this beautiful march day
We say a little prayer to GOd, "Watch over us as we go on our way"
We prepare for a war that we know must be fought
To display to the world, that freedom is one common thought
We take a moment to reflect holy on the reason that brought us to this place,
It started on 911 When by terrorist we recieved a horrible slap on our Country's face
As the news displayed the attackfor the whole world to plainly see, It opened our country's eyes to know how vulnerable we can be
We today take our stand to rid the whole world of death and Tyranny TO say to the world the only way to live is to truly be free
There are those back home that protest and want to protect those we fight, But they don't see the hatein their hearts and death to America in their sight
Our thoughts reflect back to all the loved ones we have at home, And our prayers turn to each other as the vehicle rolls on
We move fast and furiousto reach our one common goal, To save the world of mass destruction and free the Iraqi people as we go
Now we stand ready to recieve whatever may come our way, Maybe give our life for freedom on any given day
WE stand this wall firmly and place our lives in Gods hands We reflect back on the ones before us that always took their stand
There are fellow soldiers and friends that laid down down their lives today, For the safety of another and for simply freedom's way
To these brave men and women we give our thanks and prayers We release their souls to heaven, to be with our God there
Our country is one of pride, truth and the American way, It is the only place we call home because freedom is there to stay
So when those of that question the reason for this fight It is to keep our families safe on any given night
We don't do this for the money or for the glory as some might say We do this for one reason ;it is "God bless the USA"

we leave our families to defend freedom WE travel to foreighn lands to protect others from those who will harm them through the battles and tears and the blood that's spilled we still fulfill our duties because it's our will It's not about the bullets, bombs or the lives lost It;s the feeling of doing something great and noble that makes it a great cause some of them love us others they don't the fact still remains we are their only hope our lives on the line each and everyday but freedom is a very costly price I am certainly not afraid to pay theres a statute that stands tall on our nations ground and for our fallen comrades her tears will be found claiming victory from our battles like the eagle we all soar we still truly miss our families and lovedones as we fight in this war far accross the ocean is where for awhile we all remain even after we get home our lives will be changed as I wrapped my arms around my mother when I told her goodbye I felt pain for the next year she will live in fear for I may die she told me she was proud of me and loved me was glad I was her son and holds her head high to know I serve in the army of one as toby keith said when libertys in jeopardy I will always do whats right I am out here on the front lines so sleep in peace tonight the red white and blue is more than just a flag to me it represents all who have died and sacrificed they all are brothers to me defend our enemies both foreighn and domestic was part of an oath when I raised my right hand standing tall and proud the American Soldier is who I truly am by spc jonathan lawner 1st platoon bravo battery 5th battalion 113th field artillery regiment
